In the new 'Classic Brawl' event in Brawl Stars, you can open Mega Boxes and unlock other incredible rewards. We'll explain how the event works and show you the rewards you can get.
Who's ready to travel back to a time in Brawl Stars when Mega Boxeswere around? We know you do! Well, you're in luck because you can do just that by participating in the upcoming 'Classic Brawl' event.
Coming in the next update, this new event will allow you to play around with retro game mechanics such as Star Tokens and Mega Boxes. Additionally, this event is jam-packed with exciting rewards such as a revamped skin for Rico and a whole host of other unlockable cosmetics.
The Classic Brawl event will surely be a welcome blast from the past for many Brawl Stars players. That said, here's everything you need to know about the event.
How The Classic Brawl Event Works In Brawl Stars
During the Classic Brawl event, you can earn the event-exclusive currency known as 'Star Tokens.' Keep these in mind because you'll need them to get Mega Boxes. You will need to collect 12 Star Tokens to unlock one Mega Box.
You can get Star Tokens from your first win of the day, playing game modes with the Star Token active, completing special weekly Quests, and participating in a Challenge that will happen during the event.
When Mega Boxes were around, they were arguably the most prized item in Brawl Stars. Why? Because, unlike Starr Drops which contain one item, Mega boxes contain multiple rewards such as brawlers, skins, Bling, Coins, Power Points, and Gems.
Other items include the event's Hypercharge skin known as 'Sovereign Rico'. It's described as a "reimagining of the Loaded Rico skin" and comes with various visual improvements such as a special form when Rico activates his Hypercharge.
You can also unlock the skins's Chromas such as Sovereign Bling Rico and Sovereign Gem Rico from Mega Boxes.
New Game Modes Will Be Available During The Classic Brawl Event
Two new game modes will be available during the Classic Brawl event: Mirror Match and Drum Roll.
In Mirror Match, all players will play as the same brawler. The roster will only include the original 21 brawlers. Meanwhile in Drum Roll mode, each brawler you eliminate changes you into another one. There is a set amount of brawlers you will need to progress through. You will win the match once you defeat another player with your final brawler.
Both modes have the Classic modifier active, which means all brawlers are capped at Level 9, have only their first Star Power available, and cannot use Hypercharges or Gadgets.
Besides this, other normal game modes will be active during the event.
