505 Games and Kojima Productions have confirmed that a port of Death Stranding Director's Cut will be released worldwide on iPhone 15 Pro and selected iPad devices on January 30, 2024.

This move only deepens the strong partnership between Apple and Kojima Productions. At WWDC 2023, Hideo Kojima announced that the Director's Cut of the AAA title would be available on Macs.

Now, players can experience all that the game has to offer on a mobile setting. In Death Stranding Director's Cut, you can expect a high frame rate, photo mode, and cross-over content from Valve's Half-Life series and CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077.

If you're interested in learning how you can play this cult classic title on your mobile device, then you've come to the right spot.

You can purchase the Death Stranding Director's Cut from the App Store for $39.99 (or the equivalent amount in your local currency). If you pre-order the game before its official launch, you can buy it for a hugely discounted price of $19.99.

There is a huge caveat that you must know if you plan on playing Death Stranding on your iOS device. Thanks to the game's demanding system requirements, it is only playable on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPads and Macs with an M-series chip.

Here are the full Death Stranding system requirements for iOS devices:

  • iPhone: Requires iOS 17.0 or later and a device with the A17 Pro chip or later.
  • iPad: Requires iPadOS 17.0 or later and a device with the M1 chip or later.
  • Mac: Requires macOS 13.3 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later.

The initial download size for Death Stranding on iPhone and iPad is 1.78 GB. Meanwhile, it is 69.75 GB for Mac. Additional downloads will occur as you progress through the game, so ensure that you have sufficient space on your Apple device.

To gear up for the game's launch, controller-creator Backbone and Kojima Productions have collaborated to create the Backbone One - DEATH STRANDING Limited Edition controller. It is an attachable controller that emulates an immersive console experience on the iPhone 15 Pro.

How To Play Death Stranding On Android

Unfortunately, you cannot currently play Death Stranding on Android devices. The mobile port of Death Stranding Director's Cut is only available for download at the Apple App Store and not at the Google Play Store.

It is unlikely that the game will ever appear on Android devices as Apple and Kojima Productions have an ongoing partnership to exclusively bring its future titles to Apple platforms.
