We may have just received one of the biggest pieces of information from the upcoming Wild Rift update. Leaks have shown that Ornn, Volibear, and Swain will be the new champions in patch 4.2.

Though it is far from being confirmed, there have been hints of these champions' imminent arrival sprinkled over the past few months. This leak connects the dots between these hints.

For example, Game Lead David revealed in a recent dev update that players can expect a "pair of lore-centric" champions to be arriving in Wild Rift soon. As far as lore goes, Ornn and Volibear have one of the strongest rivalries to date. The two champions aren't in the game yet.

Swain, on the other hand, was teased in the cryptic Champion Roadmap for 2023. It was mentioned that "crows are spying on us" which, for some of you keen-eyed lore enthusiasts, know that this was hinting at Swain's legion of crows.

We can expect these three champions to have a significant impact on the Wild Rift meta. For starters, Ornn will be a top-lane tank that will beef up the selection pool. Volibear would be a powerful attack damage jungler or top-laner. Swain would most likely be a solid support champion who can also function as a good mid-lane pick.

All in all, if these leaks are true, we certainly can't wait long enough for these champions to make their debut in the game. Wild Rift patch 4.2 will be released on May 25, 2023.
