Wild Rift Patch 3.5a: Buffs, Nerfs, Adjustments

Patch 3.5a brought in several balance changes that will buff, nerf, and adjust champions and items. Here are all the details.

It's been a couple of weeks since the release of the massive patch 3.5 update in Wild Rift. We saw the introduction of three new champions, several novel items and runes, as well as changes to the jungling system.

We're in arguably one of the best periods in Wild Rift history. But, Riot - being the meticulous devs that they are - has noticed a few things that needed changing. So they released a new patch, patch 3.5a, that came out on November 30.

Let's go over all the balance changes that came in patch 3.5a.

Wild Rift Patch 3.5a - Champion Buffs

Nine champions were buffed in patch 3.5a. The biggest standout here is Kayn who got a significant increase in all of his abilities. He'll no doubt perform better as a Jungler. So will other fellow Junglers like Diana, Rengar, and Warwick.

  • Lunar Rush cooldown decreased from 22/20/18/16 seconds → 18/16/14/12 seconds
Fizz
  • Playful / Trickster base damage increased from 75/140/205/270 → 80/150/220/290
Kayn
  • Base attack damage increased from 66 → 70
  • The Darkin Scythe passive gain amount increased from Game time² +15 → Game time² + 25
  • Reaping Slash bonus attack damage ratio rescaled from 65% → 60/65/70/75%
  • Reaping Slash Darkin bonus attack damage ratio rescaled from 65% → 60/65/60/75%
  • Shadow Step Shadow Assasin cooldown reduced from 9 seconds → 8 seconds
  • Shadow Step Shadow Assassin bonus movement speed increased from 65% → 75 %
  • Umbral Trespass Darkin base damage increased from 10% target's maximum health → 15% target's maximum health
  • Umbral Trespass Darkin base health increased from 7% target's maximum health → 10% target's maximum health
Rengar
  • Battle Roar base damage increased from 50/90/130/170 → 60/100/140/180
  • Battle Roar damage taken as healing increased from 50% → 60%
  • Battle Roar Empowered damage taken as healing increased from 50% → 60%
Shen
  • Twilight Assault deals 200% damage to monsters
  • Twilight Assault monster cap rescaled from 125/150/175/200 → 250
Varus
  • Living Vengeance champion kill or assist attack speed increase increased from 40% → 60%
  • Living Vengeance non-champion kill attack speed increase increased from 20% → 30%
  • Hail of Arrows bonus attack damage ratio increased from 60% → 90%
Veigar
  • Base attack damage increased from 52 → 58
  • Base mana regeneration increased from 12 → 16
Warwick
  • Infinite Duress width increased from 100 → 150
  • Infinite Duress bugfix: Warwick will now only heal for 100% of damage dealt by his ultimate, not 100% of all damage dealt during his ultimate

Wild Rift Patch 3.5a - Champion Nerfs

Seven champions were nerfed in patch 3.5a. Big nerfs were handed down to Junglers like Graves, Gwen, Kha'zix, and Rammus. They were the greatest beneficiaries of the previous patch's changes that made jungling easier for players, so it was expected that they were going to get their power curbed.

One of the newest Wild Rift champions, Aatrox, also saw his abilities significantly nerfed.

  • The Darkin Blade sweet spot damage bonus decreased from 60% → 50%
  • The Darkin Blade cooldown increased from 12/10/8/6 seconds → 13.5/11/8.5/6 seconds
  • Umbral Dash base healing ratio decreased from 21/14/27/30% → 19/21/23/25%
  • Umbral Dash enhanced healing ratio decreased from 29/36/43/50% → 24/31/38/45%
Graves
  • End of the Line cooldown increased from 11/10/9/8 seconds → 13/11/9/7 seconds
  • End of the Line attack damage ratio increased from 70% → 80%
  • End of the Line monster mod decreased from 120% → 90%
  • Collateral Damage hit damage increased from 250/400/550 → 275/425/575
Gwen
  • Base attack damage decreased from 64 → 58
  • Skip 'n Slash cooldown increased from 12/11/10/9 seconds → 16.5/13/11.5/9 seconds
  • Skip 'n Slash cooldown refund rescaled from 35/40/45/50% → 50%
Kha'zix
  • Base attack damage decreased from 58 → 54
  • Taste Their Fear cooldown rescaled from 4 seconds → 5/4.5/4/3.5 seconds
Rammus
  • Soaring Slam slow per hit decreased from 12/14/16% → 10/12/14%
  • Soaring Slam maximum slow decreased from 60/70/80% → 50/60/70%
  • Soaring Slam base damage decreased from 100/175/250 → 75/150/225
Soraka
  • Base health increase per level decreased from 115 → 104
Thresh
  • Flay cooldown increased from 10.5/10/9.5/9 seconds → 12/11/10/9 seconds

Wild Rift Patch 3.5a - Champion Adjustments

Irelia and Olaf were the only two champions toreceive an adjustment in patch 3.5a.
