Ranked Season 9 has just begun in Wild Rift. Here's everything you need to know, including the start date and rewards.
League of Legends: Wild Rift is a game at its best when it's played competitively, and for most players, that means diving into the game's ranked mode.
The ranked mode is played over seasons, with the game just concluding Ranked Season 8. Each season sees players attempt towork their way up the ranks by winning matches and earning the all-important ranked points. You will unlock in-game rewards like player emblems and champion skins depending on how well you do.
These rewards change each season, and thanks to the release of patch 4.1b, we have an idea of what to expect from Ranked Season 9, and it's notable for several reasons.
The main one is we are saying goodbye to the Glorious Crimson skin set. We've had four of these as the ultimate reward in previous ranked seasons, with Evelynn, Draven, Fiora, and Nami all fitted out like sailors going to a ball.
That nautical theme continues in Season 9, with the debut of the Glorious Armada skin line, with Twisted Fate the first legend to get his captain's hat.
There will also be changes to the highest tiers of the ranked ladder. Gaining access to the Grandmaster rank will require 40 marks instead of a changing percentage based on the highest-ranked players on the server, as before. Challenger will now need 60 marks instead of the previous 40.

Wild Rift Ranked Season 9 - Rewards And Features
Each ranked season offers up rewards to unlock. These are split into rewards and features.
Rewards are given out at the end of the season. Reach Gold or higher and win at least ten ranked matches in that tier, and you will receive a player emblem displaying the highest rank you achieved in that season.
Players will retain these rewards after the end of the season, which are unlike features that display your rank progress throughout the season but are taken away at the start of a new ranked season.
Continuing in Ranked Season 9 is the Ranked Reward Track, which made its debut in Season 7. This offers up a battle pass-type progression through the rewards without having to spend any real-world money.
You will earn rank points (rank coins) throughout the season, rewarded based on your performance in matches. You can spend these ranked points in the store, which includes this season's Glorious Armada Twisted Fate champion skin.
It should be said your progress through the Ranked Reward Track is not directly tied to your progress up the ladder. So, even if you aren't a competitive warrior, you can still earn rewards through the Ranked Reward Track.
We will update this page with a more detailed look at the rewards when they become available.
