Clash Of Clans Clash-O-Ween: Sour Elixir, Mashup Madness & Special Troops

The Halloween season is officially here in Clash of Clans. Every year, players experience the spooky Clash-O-Ween event that usually offers players special items, rewards, challenges, and more.

This year is no different and Clash of Clans players can expect a variety of new additions such as the Sour Elixir resource and Clash-O-Ween troops.

Players can use Mashup Medals to unlock boosts for their Village, earn Magic Items, and purchase the event-exclusive Ghost Queen skin.

Additionally, this year's Clash-O-Ween obstacle will be called Sinister Sapling and it will start spawning at Home Villages when the event begins on October 13.

That said, here's a look at everything available in this Halloween event.

Clash-O-Ween Sour Elixir Cauldron

If you are Town Hall six or above, the Builder will instruct you to place a Sour Elixir Cauldron in your Home Village. This will turn one of your existing Elixir Storages into a Sour Elixir Storage.

The Sour Elixir Cauldron is a building that will generate the Sour Elixir resource. To earn more of this, players can steal Sour Elixir by raiding enemy Villages.

Players will need Sour Elixir to unlock Clash-O-Ween rewards that can be found on the Mashup Madness reward track.

Mashup Madness Reward Track

Tapping on the Mashup Madness icon at the Sour Elixir Cauldron will reveal a series of challenges players can complete as they collect Sour Elixir.

Completing this reward track will grant players rewards such as unlocking the temporary Clash-O-Ween troops and Mashup Medals that can be spent at the limited-time Clash-O-Ween tab with the Trader

All Clash-O-Ween Troops In Clash Of Clans

Four special Clash-O-Ween troops will be available during the event: Barcher, Hog Wizard, Lavaloon, and the Witch Golem.

In essence, they are a combination of two troops and possess stats and qualities both of the units have. Altogether, they offer players a truly unique troop that is versatile in any situation.

Here is a look at all the Clash-O-Ween troops in Clash of Clans:

• Barcher has the Archer's range and damage with the Barbarians' HP. When deployed, they start with both Rage and Invisibility for a few seconds.
• Hog Wizard can jump over walls and target defenses. They also attack with increased melee attack range and area effect splash damage.
• Lavaloon is an air troop that targets Air Defenses and drops bombs every two and a half seconds even while it is moving. Each bomb drop spawns a Green Pup that stays behind to continue dealing damage to nearby enemies. When the Lavaloon takes fatal damage, it will spawn several Green Pups.
• The Witch Golem has the HP of the Golem and is capable of summoning Skeletons every few seconds. When this troop is destroyed, it spawns a Big Boy.

These seasonal troops are only available in Clash of Clans during the Clash-O-Ween event.

Update: Novel balance changes were introduced on October 20. It saw the nerfing of Lavaloon, but the buffing of the Hog Wizard, Barcher, and the Witch Golem.
