If you're thinking of using them in your deck, then this guide will come incredibly handy. In it, we've ranked all of the building cards in Clash Royale from best to worst.

There are 13 buildings currently in Clash Royale. Some are better than others while some are not so great. The tier list begins at S-tier. Any card finding itself here can be considered an amazing addition to any deck. As you move down the list, the less viable these buildings become.

We've given you an overview above, so let's dive into the reasons below.

S-Tier

Goblin Hut Nov

Furnace and Goblin Hut are S-tier buildings. They are currently dominating the December meta in Clash Royale and are superior buildings to add to your deck.

Here are the reasons why these two buildings belong in S-tier:

  • Furnace: Furnaces are an effective counter against swarm decks. An added benefit is that once the Furnace is destroyed, a Fire Spirit will spawn that will neutralize the remaining enemy troops.
  • Goblin Hut: With this card, you get to spawn a Spear Goblins with this five Elixir building. They can be a great stand-alone building that can deal massive damage to Towers if you deploy them behind your Princess Towers.

A-Tier

Cannon, Tombstone, and Goblin Cage are A-tier buildings. They perform above average and can be great alternatives to S-tier buildings.

Here's a breakdown of why these three buildings belong in A-tier:>

  • Cannon: The Cannon boasts decent hit points and good damage. These incredible damage dispensers have seen play in some of the most powerful decks in the current meta.
  • Tombstone: The Tombstone is a great defensive and versatile inclusion to your deck. Tombstone can function as an attacking option as it spawns skeletons and can also function as a defensive option because it can distract enemy troops.
  • Goblin Cage: The Goblin Cage is a strong defensive building that can even go on the offensive with the Goblin that it spawns. It's a versatile option if you're a fan of cost-effective cards

B-Tier

Inferno Tower, Tesla, Bomb Tower, and Elixir Collectorare B-tier buildings. They're average-performing buildings that can get the job done.

Here's a breakdown of why these four buildings belong in B-tier:

  • Inferno Tower: The Inferno Tower can be powerful against high-HP troops, however, it is exceptionally weak against swarms which can easily take this building out.
  • Tesla: The current meta sees aggro decks that love to use Hog Riders, Balloons, and other swarm troops. The Tesla is an average four Elixir cost choice to counter these types of decks.
  • Bomb Tower: The Bomb Tower is a decent pick for clearing swarms and aggro waves. But it can only target ground troops, meaning that it is especially weak against flying troops.
  • Elixir Collector: The Elixir Collector is what you'll need if you want to accelerate your Elixir collection rate. However, it's an entirely passive building as it can't defend itself. All that means that it's not the perfect fit for low-cost decks that don't require that Elixir boost - but it's great for higher-cost decks.

C-Tier

Mortar Clash Royale Nov

Goblin Drill, Mortar, and X-Bow are C-tier buildings. They perform below average in the December meta due to their rather high costs. Paying this price doesn't necessarily bring you massive advantages on the Arena.

Here's why these three buildings belong in C-tier:

  • Goblin Drill: You can deploy this building anywhere in the Arena for four Elixir. It will spawn Goblins regularly and even upon its destruction. The only problem with it is that it doesn't exactly synergize well with most decks in the current meta and has a low spawn rate, so its lack of abilities extremely overshadows its strengths.
  • Mortar: The mortar's slow rate of fire and low HP means that this card is weak and vulnerable. It has seen some play in several experimental decks but ultimately, it stands as a liability for most.
  • X-Bow: The X-Bow is too costly to deserve a spot in most Clash Royale decks. This and the lack of mobility makes this card a rather weak inclusion.

F-Tier

Barbarian Hut Nov

The Barbarian Hut is an F-tier building. This makes it the worst building in Clash Royale at the moment.

Here's why it belongs in F-tier:

  • Barbarian Hut: Unfortunately, the Barbarian Hut is rather weak and less impactful in games. It has yet to see a resurgence in the current meta.
