Leveling up guns in Call of Duty: Mobile can take a long time. Our guide will show you how to do it as fast as possible.
Call of Duty: Mobile has a vast array of weapons, but more importantly, it has an even greater number of attachments.
Unfortunately, these attachments aren't available to players from the outset, and you will find you need to level up your chosen gun's level to unlock them.
Guns in COD: Mobile can have anywhere between 30 and 55 levels, and leveling these up to the maximum - and thus getting all the available attachments and perks - can take a very long time.
Thankfully, there are a few ways of speeding up the process, and this guide details all of them.
So, get your smartphone charged and your eye on the prize, as this is how to level up guns fast in COD: Mobile.
How To Level Up Guns Fast In COD Mobile
Before we get into the tips and tricks, there is a couple of points to cover about how you actually level up your gun.
There are two ways to level up guns in COD: Mobile.
The first is by using the weapon in multiplayer or battle royale game modes. By playing matches, you will acquire weapon XP, which will automatically level up your weapon. The better you do in a match, the more XP you will acquire, with the aim of the game being to use the weapon you want to level up as much as possible.
The second is by using weapon XP cards; these come in three varieties: green, blue, and purple. Green levels the chosen gun by 50 XP, blue by 100 XP, and purple by 500 XP. We will go into how to obtain more of these later on.
You can check the current level of a weapon and use weapon XP cards from the Gunsmith menu.
Once in the Gunsmith menu, select the gun you want to see the level of, and in the top right-hand corner, beside a big button that says 'upgrade', you will see the level of the weapon.
As you might imagine, by pressing upgrade, you can use your weapon XP cards - if you have any. You can also check the attachments you currently have available for the weapon from here.
Complete Boot Camp
If you are just starting out in COD: Mobile, there is no better way to get to grips with the game and get yourself some all-important weapon XP cards than the in-game Boot Camp.
Taking little more than 30 minutes, this three-part tutorial offers up a number of rewards, including an ample amount of weapon XP cards. Once you complete all three parts, you will get a bumper reward which, again, includes weapon XP cards.
The Boot Camp is available through the multiplayer menu, found at the top-right of the screen.
As a starting point, there are few better ones. So, get this one out of the way and then get on the grind.
Play Small Maps
Why play small maps? Well, there is an easy answer to that. Small maps allow you to get more kills quicker, thus helping you rack up some series Weapon XP.
Maps that are small in size include:
- Shipment
- Shoot House
- Slums
- Standoff
- Scrapyard 2019
Use Double Weapon XP Cards
Double weapon XP cards do exactly what they say on the tin, offering up double the usual amount of XP over the course of several hours or matches.
There are two types of double weapon XP card: common and rare.
Common double XP weapons cards will give you double the XP over a period of 24 hours, while rare double weapon XP cards offer you double the XP over ten matches.
There are several ways to get double weapon XP cards, including by opening rare and epic credit crates.
Epic credit crates cost 1200 credits, while rare credit crates cost 400; however, these crates' rewards are randomized, so you are not guaranteed a double weapon XP card.
They also come in consolation prize crates, which are rewarded if a player drops for your team in a ranked match. You can find these in your in-game mailbox.
You can also get crates from various events, so keep an eye on the event tab for new events and their rewards.
Watch Double Weapon XP Adverts
One of the best ways to gain double weapon XP is through double weapon XP adverts.
Play a multiplayer game, and when you leave the lobby, you will likely be offered the chance of a double weapon XP card for your next game - if you watch an advert.
These adverts are a bit annoying - you will have to watch them for 60 seconds - but it guarantees you double weapon XP for your next game.
Suck it up, watch the advert, and get your rewards.
Use Weapon XP Cards
Now onto the weapon XP cards. As mentioned before, there are three types of weapon XP cards: green, blue, and purple.
The green cards are the least meaningful, offering up only 50 XP. They are also the least likely for you to come across. You will see many more blue and purple weapon XP cards, which offer 100 XP and 500 XP, respectively.
There are a number of ways to acquire weapon XP cards, including via events, crates, and the item store.
From the in-game store, you can purchase both blue and purple weapon XP cards using either credits or the premium currency, COD Points.
Spending your credits on weapon XP cards is a good use of this free currency. In the 'item' section of the in-game store, blue cards can be purchased for 80 credits or 40 COD Points, while purple cards can be purchased for 160 credits or 80 COD Points.
Weapon XP cards can then be used in the Gunsmith menu; you can use a combination of cards when upgrading, but take note unlocking all the levels will take a huge amount of them.
Use The Same Weapon (Even Once You Reach Its Max Level)
By the time you get to reading this, you will know that using the gun you want to level up - whether with a double weapon XP card or not - is a surefire way to level up your chosen weapon.
And that is true, but curiously, even once you reach the maximum level of a gun, keeping that gun equipped can help you level up another.
That is because once you have leveled up a gun, you still get rewards for using it, but instead of further leveling up the gun, you are rewarded with weapon XP cards.
These cards can then be used with any other gun. So, if you have a gun you consistently frag out with, this can prove to be the quickest way to level up another.
The only downside to this is you won't get a lot of hands-on time with the gun you are leveling up, which can be used to try out the various attachments and perks you will be unlocking.
That's it for your leveling-up guide.
