In this guide, we will show you all the competitive changes made and upcoming esports tournaments that will be held in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.
A new season means a new set of competitive changes for Fortnite players. In Chapter 4 Season 4, this rule applies and the competitive scene has been refreshed.
As usual, all players' ranks have been reset in the new season. You will only need to play one ranked match to have your reset rank revealed, similar to Season Zero.
Your rank will be pivotal if you want to compete in the many competitive cups and tournaments that will be held in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.
So without further ado, here's a look at the competitive changes and cups for this season.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 Ranked Playlist
This season's ranked playlist will feature four game modes split between Battle Royale and Zero Build.
Battle Royale will have Solo, Duo, and Squad. Meanwhile, Zero Build will only have Solo and Duo.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 Tournaments
Chapter 4 Season 4 will have a variety of cups and tournaments players can participate in. These include the FNCS Community Cup, PlayStation Cup, Victory Cash Cups, Console Champions Cup, and Mix Up Mondays.
Here is what you need to know about them.
FNCS Community Cup
A Duos Battle Royale FNCS Community Cup will be held on October 8 where players can earn FNCS-themed in-game cosmetics and prizes.
The rank requirement for the FNCS Community Cup is at least Bronze I in Ranked Battle Royale.
Besides this, the 2023 FNCS Global Championship will be held during Chapter 4 Season 4.

PlayStation Cup
PlayStation players will be able to compete in this console-exclusive tournament that will take place between September 1 and September 16. There will be various stages available.
The stages and their respective dates are listed below:
- September 1: Zero Build September PlayStation Cup Qualifier 1
- September 2: Battle Royale September PlayStation Cup Qualifier 1
- September 8: Zero Build September PlayStation Cup Qualifier 2
- September 9: Battle Royale September PlayStation Cup Qualifier 2
- September 15: Zero Build September PlayStation Cup Finals
- September 16: Battle Royale September PlayStation Cup Finals
Keep in mind that only the top 50 highest-scoring players from each of the Qualifier Cups will qualify for the Finals for either the Battle Royale or Zero Build game mode. Players will compete for a share of USD $250,100.
Players will also be able to earn cosmetics such as the Guffy Drop Spra, Guaco Drop-o Spray, Silver and Gold Spray, and Drippin' Dizzy Spray if they earn at least eight points in either of the Qualifier stages.
The rank requirement for the PlayStation Cups is at least Bronze I in Ranked Battle Royale or Ranked Zero Build.
Victory Cash Cups
Victory Cups will be returning to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 4. The game modes available are Solo Battle Royale and Duos Zero Build. If you qualify for Round 2 of the cup, you can earn a cash prize with every Victory Royale earned during that round.
The Victory Cup schedule can be found in the in-game "Compete" tab.
The rank requirement for the Victory Cash Cups will be Gold I in Ranked Battle Royale or Ranked Zero Build.
Cash Cups
Battle Royale Duos Cash Cups will return to Fortnite this season. The cup schedule can be found in the in-game "Compete" tab.
The rank requirement for the Cash Cups is to be at least Gold I in Ranked Battle Royale.
Console Champions Cup
Between October 27 and October 29, a four-round format Duos Console Champions Cup will be held. It will only be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch players.
The rank requirement for the Console Champions Cup is at least Platinum I in Ranked Battle Royale.
Mix Up Mondays
Mix Up Mondays are a novel addition to the Fortnite competitive scene. It is a tournament whose rules, scoring structure, and formats vary each week.
There are no rank requirements for Mix Up Mondays.
