The Legends of Runeterra development roadmap for 2023 will be released next week.
Riot has revealed that it will release its 2023 roadmap for Legends of Runeterra next week.
They have regularly done this to outline what can be expected in the coming year. Usually, this includes details about future expansions and when new gameplay features will be added to the game.
You can expect the Roadmap and a detailed competitive overview article to drop next week.

So that being said, what can we expect to see in the development roadmap? Quite a lot actually. Let's start with what has already been confirmed.
For starters, Riot has stated that Card Rotation will be released alongside the first expansion of 2023. Once it arrives, you'll be able to choose between two game formats: Standard and Eternal. Standard will allow only the most recent and basic cards to be included in decks, while Eternal will allow cards from all previous expansions to be included.
In the November snapshot, Game Director Dave Guskin confirmed that they are working to develop a new game mode that will allow players to experiment and play with new cards. The exact details of that are still unclear. However, we do know that a limited version will be released shortly before the full version is implemented.
Besides this, many have been keeping an eye on Timewinder Gauntlets. Riot had previously tested various formats of this game mode between November last year and January. By all accounts, it was a success. We could potentially see them made permanent in 2023.
The details on the coming expansions are scarce. But, if leaks were to be true, we could see Olaf, Karthus, and Poro King join Legends of Runeterra this year.
It's only a matter of time before the roadmap and all of its details are revealed. If you're a hardcore player and want to see it the minute it is released, it's best you follow Legends of Runeterra on Twitter.
