Master Yi Revealed As New Champion In Legends Of Runeterra

Riot has unveiled Master Yi as one of the five new champions joining Legends of Runeterra in the Darkin Saga: Awakening expansion. Check out his card and supporting cards now!

Master Yi is here! Riot will be introducing five new champions to Legends of Runeterra in the new Darkin Saga: Awakening expansion. Kayn was the first champion revealed by Riot. He introduced a new origin, The Shadow Reaper, and a new Auto-Equip keyword. However the Wuju Bladesman from Ionia, Master Yi, introduces a brand new keyword, Flow, that will hasten the flow of gameplay and will encourage players to experiment with their decks.

New Legends Of Runeterra Keyword - Flow

Flow is a new keyword coming to Legends of Runeterra in the Darkin Saga: Awakening expansion. Cards with this keyword will be activated if you played two or more spells or skills in the previous round.

Flow is the second keyword to be introduced after Auto-equip.

New Legends Of Runeterra Champion - Master Yi

Master Yi is an amazing new champion that will add a whole new dimension to gameplay in Legends of Runeterra. Not only will he be capable of reducing the cost of in-hand spells, but he will also be able to buff all allied Master Yis. He will have a couple of Master-Yi-themed cards too.

Let's take a look at all of these cards in detail:

  • Round start: Reduce the cost of a spell in y our hand by 1 mana this round.
  • Flow: Grant all allied Master Yis everywhere +2|+0.
  • Level up: I've dealt 12+ damage.
Master Yi (Leveled up)
  • 3-mana 3/4 unit with Quick Attack.
  • Attack: I immediately strike the weakest enemy.
  • Round start: Reduce the cost of a spell in your hand by 1 mana this round.
  • Flow: Grant all allied Master Yis everywhere +2|+0.
Master Yi's Wuju style
  • 1-mana Burst spell.
  • Give an ally +2|+0 this round. Create 'Meditate' in hand. Create 'Master Yi' in your deck.
Meditate
  • 2-mana Fleeting and Burst spell.
  • Give an ally +0|+2 this round.

Master Yi won't be coming to Legends of Runeterra alone! Several of his students from Ionia will be joining him too. These cards will take your deck to the next level because they synergize incredibly well with Master Yi.

  • Reduce the cost of a spell in your hand by one mana.
Jun, the prodigy
  • 3-mana 4/3 unit.
  • The first time I am Equipped, give me Barrier and Lifesteal this round.
Soul Sword
  • 4-mana +3|+2 Equipment.
  • Flow: I cost two mana less.

Kayn and Master Yi are only two of five new Legends of Runeterra champions expected to be revealed by Riot. We are still waiting on the other three, but going on what we've seen so far - there's plenty to be excited about!
