Niantic has unveiled all the content that we'll be seeing come to Pokémon GO September. Let's take a look at the raids, events, spotlight hours, research, and more!

The September content update is here, and we can't wait for it. Niantic recently announced that September 1 will mark the beginning of a new season, the Season of Light, that will end on December 1, 2022. It's a season that will take players to the stars and gaze into worlds anew. So what better way to kick off this massive season than with a content update?

Niantic revealed that there would be new five-star raids, mega raids, spotlight hours, events, and research breakthrough events. Let's go over all of them and get you prepped for the big month ahead!

Pokémon GO September Update - 5-Star Raids

There will be three five-star raids in Pokémon GO during September. They will start and end at 10 am local time on the respective dates. These are the Pokémon available during these five-star raids.

  • September 1 - September 13: Normal Forme Deoxys, Attack Forme Deoxys, Defense Forme Deoxys, and Speed Forme Deoxys
  • September 13 - September 27: ???, ???
  • September 27 - October 8, 2022: Yveltal

Pokémon GO September Update - Mega Raids

As usual, there will be four Mega Raids in September that will start and end at 10 am local time. These are the Mega Raids that will be available in Pokémon GO during September 2022:

  • September 1 - September 6:Mega Ampharos
  • September 6 - September 16: ???
  • September 16 - September 27: ???
  • September 27 - October 8: Mega Lopunny

Pokémon GO September Update - Raid Hours

For September 2022, Pokémon GO raid hours will be held between 6 pm and 7 pm local time. These are all the raid hours and the Pokémon you can expect to get during this time:

  • September 7: Normal Forme Deoxys, Attack Forme Deoxys, Defense Forme Deoxys, and Speed Forme Deoxys
  • September 14: ???
  • September 21: ???
  • September 28: Yveltal

Pokémon GO September Update - Spotlight Hours

Four Pokémon will be available during weekly Spotlight Hours in September between 6 pm and 7 pm local time. These are the Pokémon and when you can expect to catch them:

  • September 6: Munna (2x Stardust for catching)
  • September 13: Ralts (2x XP for catching)
  • September 20: Aron (2x Candy for catching)
  • September 27: Minccino (2x Candy for transferring)

Pokémon GO September Update - Events

Several in-game events will be held in Pokémon GO throughout September 2022. The timing of these events will vary with each event. Regardless, these are events you can expect to see in Pokémon GO:

  • September 3 (11 am - 2 pm): Inkay Limited Research
  • September 6-12: Psychic Spectacular
  • September 10 (6 pm - 9 pm): Clefairy Commotion
  • September 11 (2 pm - 5 pm): Deoxys Raid Day
  • September 16-21: Test Your Mettle
  • September 18 (2 pm - 5 pm): Pokémon GO September Community Day
  • September 27 - October 3: Fashion Week

There will also be a live event, Safari Zone, which will be held in Goyang, South Korea, between September 23 and September 25.

Pokémon GO September Update - Research Breakthrough

There will be only one Pokémon available during the Research Breakthrough event in Pokémon GO in September: Medicham. It will start on September 1 at 1 pm (GMT + 7) and end on October 1 at 1 pm (GMT + 7)
