With the successful launch of the Darkin Saga: Awakening expansion, Riot has now turned its focus toward the future of Legends of Runeterra. In a recent tweet, they outlined everything that they have planned in a roadmap that spans over the coming months. They also gave a sneak peek into what we could expect to see in Legends of Runeterra in 2023.

Riot is ready to shake things up and we couldn't be more excited. Let's go over all the details we know so far.

The next four months in Legends of Runeterra are packed to the brim with new Darkin Saga content. Granted, we're already well underway in September and we've had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with what the first expansion (out of the three) has to offer. Regardless, there are still a bunch of new expansions, champions, events, and balance changes that we can expect to see in the game soon.

From the look of things, the Darkin Saga will be an incredibly intricate and well-planned series of expansions from Riot. We can't wait for the next few months.

Riot hasn't shied away from revealing what they have planned for Legends of Runeterra in 2023 after the Darkin Saga is over. They haven't fully fleshed out plans, but regardless, they give an insight into the game's future direction.
