Listen up, people - this is big news! We'll be getting our first-ever Legends of Runeterra exclusive champion, named Norra,in the next expansion. Before this announcement, every champion released to the game was based on those already present in the roster of League of Legends. This is unsurprising as Legends of Runeterra is inherently a game based on League, but the news of an exclusive champion means that we could finally see some individuality and card diversity introduced to the game.

Norra will be released in the new expansion, The Darkin Saga: Awakening, which will be coming to Legends of Runeterra on August 31, 2022. We couldn't be more excited. So let's go over everything we know so far about her lore and cards.

Who Is The New LoR-exclusive Champion Norra?

Who IS Nora Lo R

If you've been a long-time follower of League of Legends lore, then chances are you're already familiar with Norra. She's a Yordle that mysteriously left Bandle City. This catapulted her cat Yuumi, a League-staple champion, to go on a desperate adventure in search of Norra.

Norra may be based on League lore, but she will only be available in Legends of Runeterra. There are currently no plans of Riot introducing her to the League of Legends champions roster any time soon.

Norra will be the third of the five total champions that we're expecting to see in the new Legends of Runeterra expansion. Kayn and Master Yi were the previously announced champions and brought with them new keywords and origins. With Norra, Riot will be introducing more RNG to the game courtesy of the new Mysterious Portals card. For those unfamiliar with it, it is basically a spell that will summon a random 2/3-cost follower (creates a 0-mana cost Fleeting copy if your board is full).

Let's take a look at all the cards and their respective texts:

Three additional cards will be joining Norra in the new expansion. They will supplement her and synergize well with one another in a potential Norra-themed deck. Besides this, they build upon the many Yordles and Faes that have already been revealed to be coming to Legends of Runeterra in the new expansion.
