With the release of Warframe on iOS, the game is now available on all major gaming platforms except Android. The developers have assured players that they can expect it soon, but when exactly will Warframe be released on Android devices?
Warframe is a massive free-to-play action RPG title from Digital Extremes that has quite easily marked itself as one of the best in its genre. It boasts a large player base who relish in its large open world and exciting multiplayer games.
The game is available on all major gaming platforms such as PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch. A mobile port of Warframe was launched for iOS devices on February 20, 2024.
However, there is still one other platform Warframe is still not available on yet – Android. With that in mind, here is when you can expect the game to be released on these mobile devices.
Expected Release Date For Warframe On Android
At the time of writing, there is no definitive release date for Warframe on Android.
In a recent interview with TouchArcade, Digital Extreme's Creative Director Rebecca Ford and Nitro Games' Mobile Product Lead Jussi Elonen discussed Warframe's release on iOS among other things. During the interview, Ford offered some insight on the game's Android release:
I think we’re aiming to launch at least some tests this year. We want to at least be testing on the Android platform this year. As far as I am aware that’s well within reach, that’s not just a hopeful statement. We’re getting there.
Ford also revealed that more information about the game's Android release will be revealed during TennoCon 2024. This event will take place between July 19-20, 2024.
It is unclear how extensive these tests will be and how many tests the developers plan on conducting. Depending on these key factors, we could potentially see Waframe released on Android either in late 2024 or early 2025.

Warframe Android System Requirements
Warframe's system requirements for Android have not been clearly defined yet. Regardless, we can use iOS's system requirements as a benchmark of what could be required for Android devices.
For iOS, Warframe requires iOS 14.0 or later and a device with the A12 Bionic chip or higher. We anticipate that Android would require compatible tech to be able to run the game.
It is unlikely that low-end Android devices will be able to run Warframe given how expansive and demanding the game can be. Mid-end devices may be able to run the game smoothly, barring any issues with graphics and overheating.
