Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Mobile will be hosting its first lite season.

This announcement comes swiftly after the game entered its soft launch phase where the game will be available in select regions, starting with Canada and Mexico.

This first season offers players a chance to experience the first all that Rainbow Six Mobile has to offer.

Rainbow Six Mobile Operation Fallen Sakura Season

The first season in Rainbow Six Mobile will be called Operation Fall Sakura.

Known by its shorthand 'Y0SX', the Y means year, while the S symbolizes the season. The X indicates that though it is the game's first season, it's not the first official season in the game.

Like Rainbow Six Mobile, the Operation Fall Sakura season will only be available to experience to those in the soft launch regions. Though only two regions are known at the moment, Ubisoft has reassured players more regions will be announced soon.

Besides the game's first lite season, there will be a list of new features that will be available in the soft launch version of Rainbow Six Mobile. It includes new operator customizations, gameplay improvements, two new game modes, a beta version of a ranked mode, and ranked events.

Most importantly, permanent progression will also be a staple feature for the soft launch version of the game. This feature will allow players to carry forward their progress from the soft launch version to the final version of Rainbow Six Mobile.

In their development roadmap, Ubisoft confirmed that the next step after the soft launch phase of Rainbow Six Mobile will be a global release.

At the time of writing, no official release date has been confirmed. However, it is speculated that we could potentially see the launch of the game's full version in late 2023 or early 2024.

Once the game has been released, full seasons will be made available, new operators will be introduced, controller support will be added, and a match reconnect feature will be implemented. Other unannounced features would also be slated to arrive.
