Ubisoft has begun soft-launching Rainbow Six Mobile in select regions. Here is an overview of this phase and the game's expected release date.
With Rainbow Six Mobile having recently concluded its second round of closed beta tests, all eyes are now set on the game's next step - a soft launch.
As outlined in the development roadmap, a soft launch would see the Rainbow Six Mobile become permanently live. There will be no resets as was the case in the earlier beta tests.
Other features will also be made available such as mini-seasons, ranked mode, an event-based game mode, and additional maps.
All of this sounds extremely promising, but we will have to wait until it is officially available. So, when is Rainbow Six Mobile having its soft launch?
Rainbow Six Mobile Soft Launch Regions
The game began itssoft launch phasein August 2023. Ubisoft has currently soft-launched Rainbow Six Mobile in Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia.
Here is a timeline of when each region saw the soft-launch of the game:

In mid-March 2024, Ubisoft announced that, in addition to new in-game content, they will be pausing the addition of new regions to their soft-launch program. They cited the need to focus on improving key gameplay elements. It is unclear if and when this will resume.
Features available in the game's soft launch version are new operator customizations, gameplay improvements (such as fixes to wall clipping), two new game modes, a beta version of a ranked mode, ranked events, and permanent progression.
After this soft launch, we can expect Rainbow Six Mobile to have a worldwide rollout. The exact date has not been revealed yet but according to the Apple App Store, the expected launch will be in September 2024.
As stated in the roadmap, you can expect full seasons, additional operators, controller support, match reconnect, and other features to be available in the final version of the game. It will be a live service game, so we hope to see more operators, maps, and game modes introduced to the game down the road.
