Clash Royale August (Season 50) Balance Changes: All Buffs & Nerfs

Here are all the Clash Royale balance changes that will be introduced to the game in Season 50 (August 2023).

Clash Royale is gearing up for Season 50 and naturally, a new set of balance changes will be arriving in the game. We will also see the Knight Evolution and a new set of events.

The Clash Royale meta has undergone a significant transformation after the June update. Needless to say, Card Evolution has influenced the meta to a big degree. With that in mind, you may see certain evolved cards be included in the balance changes alongside other popular cards.

The upcoming balance changes include buffs and nerfs to some of the most popular card picks in the current meta.

Battle Ram, Goblin Giant, and Tesla will be buffed. Meanwhile, Firecracker Evolution, Royal Giant Evolution, and Mighty Miner will be nerfed. Besides this, Skeleton Evolution will be reworked.

Update: Supercell released a couple of nerfs targeting two Card Evolutions on August 24. Namely, the Knight Evolution and Barbarians Evolution.

Here are the balance changes in detail:

Barbarians Evolution
  • Hit speed boost reduced from 150% to 135%
Battle Ram
  • Ram HP increased by 6%
  • Charge distance will be decreased by 14.3% (decreased from 0.35 tiles to 0.3 tiles)
Firecracker Evolution
  • HP will be decreased by 9.4%
  • Pushback when shooting decreased from 2 tiles to 1 tile
  • Removed sparks' damage stacking
Knight Evolution
  • Shield damage reduction reduced from 80% to 60%
Royal Giant Evolution
  • HP will be decreased by 8.3%
Goblin Giant
  • HP will be increased by 6%
Mighty Miner
  • Damage charge duration will be increased by 12.5%
Skeleton Evolution
  • Cycles required will be decreased from 3 to 2
  • Maximum skeleton count will be decreased from 8 to 6
Tesla
  • Hit time will be 8% faster (interval between zaps decreased from 1.2 seconds to 1.1 seconds)
