Supercell is teasing a new feature, known as Card Evolution, that is set to arrive in Clash Royale soon.
Clash Royale may have seen some of the biggest updates in the past year. From Season Tokens, to the Pass Royale rework, to an upcoming change to Event rewards, Supercell has not been shy about making massive changes if it improves the overall gameplay experience.
However, there's yet another new addition that the Clash Royale devs are planning on adding to the game soon: Card Evolution.

It has been revealed that the Barbarian, Skeletons, Firecracker, and the Royal Giant will be getting a Card Evolution.
At the time of writing, there is no clear idea of what these evolutions will mean for cards. As far as we can tell, evolved cards will have a special animation and enhanced stats. There is no indication as to how Card Evolution will be connected with Card Level 15.

All in all, they're not exactly high-tier cards that are commonly used in decks, but regardless, this feature would be an interesting addition to the game.
