Gems are the premium in-game currency in Clash Royale. They can be used to purchase rare Chests, emotes, and other in-game currency like Gold. Gems can usually be purchased from the in-game store, but not every one of us can liberally spend real-life money on fictional game items.
So, to help all our free-to-play players, we've put together a handy list of the steps you can take to earn free Gems in Clash Royale.
How To Get Free Gems In Clash Royale
There are four ways in which players can earn free Gems in Clash Royale. They can be earned through the free daily deals, mastery challenges, Chest keys, and the Trophy road.
Get Gems From The Free Daily Deals
Every 24 hours in Clash Royale, the 'Daily Deals' section at the in-game shop will be refreshed to include good deals that you can purchase with in-game currencies.
In this section, there will always be a daily deal that you can claim for free. It can range from Chests, cards, and of course, Gems.
Complete Mastery Challenges
Card Mastery is a special feature that was recently added to Clash Royale in early 2022. Card Mastery will reward players for completing certain actions or challenges with cards during battles. It functions similarly to achievements in other games. Players can earn duplicate Cards, Gold, and even free Gems by completing specific tasks. Some challenges have been known to reward players with up to 300 Gems.
Use Chest Keys To Open Chests
Chest Keys are special Magic Items in Clash Royale that can open a locked Chest instantly without having to spend Gems. These special chest keys can be obtained by completing Special Challenges and on both the free and paid track of the monthly season pass, Pass Royale.
Crown Chests are usually the most rewarding as they always guarantee players two to four Gems per Chest.
Climb The Trophy Road
Trophy Road is a progression path in Clash Royale. Players can earn trophies by completing games in the 1v1 Ladder. As players progress higher with the number of total trophies, you can unlock and collect milestone rewards. These milestones can reward players with free Gems.
