Call of Duty: Mobile is getting a throwable C4 lethal, here is how you can get your hands on it.
Fans of Call of Duty: Mobile are gearing up for Season 9: Zombies Are Back, which is due out next week.
Anticipation for the new season is high, with the calls for the return of the Zombies Classic game mode finally being answered.
However, the return of Zombies isn't the only thing to get hyped about, there is a new spooky battle pass on offer, and the Haunted Hacienda map to get the blood racing, and there are also two new weapons: the Krig 6 assault rifle, as well as the remote-detonated C4 lethal.
We've already taken a look at how you can get your hands on the Krig 6, which looks like a real meta-shifter, but what about that C4?
Below is a guide to unlocking it and how you can best use it on the battlefield.
How To Unlock C4 In COD Mobile Season 9
Like the Krig 6, the C4 is made available through the Season 9 battle pass.
It is also part of the free track, meaning even those who don't purchase the premium battle pass have the opportunity to unlock it.
The C4 lethal is unlocked at tier 14 of the Season 9 battle pass.
The quickest way to unlock it will undoubtedly involve purchasing the Battle Pass Bundle (approx. USD 12), which automatically unlocks the first 12 tiers, meaning you only have a further two to unlock - made even easier because of the extra battle pass XP you earn for purchasing the bundle.
How To Use C4 In COD Mobile
While we haven't had any hands-on time with the C4 personally, we do know how it works and how best to use it.
The C4 is remotely detonated and can be placed on a variety of surfaces, walls, doors, etc. The fact it is remotely detonated but won't explode via proximity rules it out as decent flanking protection.
Instead, it will prove useful when setting up ambushes, with a well-placed C4 and an advantageous firing position a recipe for taking out two or three targets at one time.
It will also likely be used similarly to a grenade, except with a fuse that you control. Imagine this scenario: you are running towards a house with an open window facing your approach. You throw in a C4 and enter the house; it is then that you hear there is someone upstairs. As you push up, you can then detonate the C4, knowing you have a good chance of at least injuring your target before pushing in to mop up.
