While being purely cosmetic items in Minecraft, Armor Trims gained much recognition among try-harders and average players.

As of Minecraft 1.20, there are 16 armor trims in the game. They vary across dimensions, biomes, and even structures.

How To Use Armor Trims In Minecraft 1.20 & 1.21

To use Armor Trim in Minecraft, players need to have a Smithing Table, which can be crafted from 2 Iron Ingots + 4 Planks.

While opening a Smithing Table, you'll find 3 slots: for Armor Trim, Armor, and ingot or crystal. Put the necessary items into the corresponding slots and then take out the trimmed piece of armor.

Voila! You've just used your Armor Trim!

Sentry Armor Trim Minecraft Location

Sentry Armor Trim has a 25% chance of being found inside pillager outposts. On average, you'll need to raid four outposts to get it.

Silence Armor Trim is one of the most challenging armor trims to find. Players have a 1.2% chance to find it in chests located in ancient cities. You need to go very deep underground!

Ward Armor Trim Minecraft Location

Ward Armor Trim can be found inside every chest located in ancient cities, except for the Ice Box chests with a 5% chance.

Wayfinder Armor Trim Minecraft Location

Wayfinder Armor Trim is found in the suspicious gravel of the trail ruins.

The chance of finding that trim when brushing suspicious gravel is 8.3%.

Raiser Armor Trim Minecraft Location

Raiser Armor Trim is located in the suspicious gravel that is inside the trail ruins.

Like with the previous trim, the chance of obtaining it is 8.3%.

Shaper Armor Trim Minecraft Location

Shaper Armor Trim can be found in the same way as the previous two.

Host Armor Trim Minecraft Location

Host Armor Trim is the last armor trim found in suspicious gravel inside the trail ruins. Like all the others, it has an 8.3% chance of being found.

Snout Armor Trim Minecraft Location

To obtain Snout Armor Trim, players should venture into the Nether and search for bastion remnants.

Inside the chests, there is an 8.3% chance of finding the Snout Armor Trim.

Rib Armor Trim Minecraft Location

To get Rib Armor Trim, gamers need to head to the Nether and look for nether fortresses.

In the interior of each fortress, you'll find a couple of chests that have a 6.7 chance of containing Rib Armor Trim.

Vex Armor Trim Minecraft Location

To get Vex Armor Trim, players must locate and loot woodland mansion. The location doesn't have many chests, so the odds of finding Vex Armor Trim in each one is 50%.

Wild Armor Trim Minecraft Location

To get Wild Armor Trim, players must look for jungle temples in the jungle biome. There is 33.3% of finding Armor Trim here.

Dune Armor Trim Minecraft Location

To find Dune Armor Trim, players need to locate the heart of the desert biome and find a desert temple.

There is a 14.3% chance of finding Dune Armor Trim in each chest.

Coast Armor Trim Minecraft Location
