A new season has just landed in Marvel Snap. Dubbed 'Into the Quantum Realm', it's a tie-in to Marvel's upcoming movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Fresh cards, Variants, and Locations were added to the game - some of which refer to the film itself. We thought we had seen all of it when the season was released at the start of this week, but the devs had one last word to add to this story: balance changes. The Marvel Snap meta has been topsy-turvy lately, and a couple of nerfs were needed to rebalance the game.

Here are all the details of the February balance changes.

Zabu and the Silver Surfer were nerfed in the February balance changes.

For many, Zabu is an incredibly powerful card. When you synergize him with cards like Darcula, Spider-Man, and Absorbing Man, you will have a game-winning combination that is impossible for many to counter. So, this nerf will reduce his card reduction Ongoing ability.

Silver Surfer, on the other hand, faced a simple nerf. Since his release in the Power Cosmic season, he has been a card that was included in most of the best-performing decks. This nerf seeks to reduce the Power he gives to other cards when he is revealed.

Here are the nerfs in detail:

CardNerf(s)
Silver Surfer
  • Stats changed from 3/0 → 3/2
  • On Reveal now gives your other 3-cost cards +2 Power.
Zabu
  • Stats changed from 3/2 → 2/2
  • Ongoing now makes your 4-cost cards cost 1 less. (minimum 1)
