Each time you rank up a player in EA Sports FC Mobile, you will receive a Skill Point. They can be used to improve specific attributes of the players you own.
For every position, there will be normal and advanced Skills available. With each Skill Point used on a particular Skill, you will increase its level by 1. Normal Skills can increase up to level 3, while advanced Skills can only be increased by one level.

How To Use Skill Points In EA Sports FC Mobile
Skill Points can be used by tapping on the "Skill Points" button after selecting a player in your club.
You can access the Skill Points menu by viewing the details of a player you own. After this, tap on the switch symbol in the top left corner to switch from the 3D model view to the player item view. There, you will be able to see the number of Skill Points you have and can tap on them to distribute them.

Increasing a Skill level will also increase a player's Alternate Level. These levels decrease the OVR penalty given when you place a player out of their preferred position.
There are two Alternate Levels. You can reach Level 1 by leveling a normal Skill to Level 2. Meanwhile, you can reach Level 2 by leveling an advanced Skill. The higher the Alternate Level, the lower the OVR penalty given when you place a player out of position.
When you obtain a ranked-up player from the Market, all of their Skill Points will be "released". This means that you will be able to redistribute the Skill Points used on the card to the attributes you wish to see upgraded.
How Advanced Skills Work In EA Sports FC Mobile
Advanced Skills will unlock after reaching Level 3 for a selected normal Skill. These will provide a bigger boost in attributes than normal Skills.
Here is how Advanced Skills work:
- Up to 74 Base OVR: +1 increase in select attributes for normal Skills and +2 for advanced Skills.
- 74 to 84 Base OVR: +3 increase in select attributes for normal Skills and +6 for advanced Skills.
- 85+ Base OVR: +5 increase in select attributes for normal Skills and +10 for advanced Skills.
