Soccer superstar Erling Haaland's debut in Clash of Clans proves that celebrity collaborations are indeed possible and that players can expect more special skins and cosmetics in the future.
History was made when Supercell announced that Manchester City forward, Erling Haaland, would be getting a special Barbarian King skin in Clash of Clans – and rightly so as it was the first time a real-life person inspired the design of a Hero skin.
In the past, many of Clash of Clans' Hero skins, decorations, and items were designed to take influence, by some part or whole, from each season's theme. But now, with the breakthrough success of the Haaland collaboration, the doors have opened to the possibility of more special skins being modeled after celebrities.
You Can Expect More Celebrities To Collab With Clash Of Clans
Supercell has clearly recognized what a game-changing impact celebrity collabs could have on the Clash of Clans landscape. In fact, they have already begun teasing potential names who could be a part of future partnerships.

In a promotional video, soccer legends Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, and Sergio Agüero can all be seen pitching their reasons as to why they deserve a skin in the game instead of Haaland. Unfortunately, for them, they've been told "Maybe next time."
While this comment may have been made in jest, it's certainly a teasing one too, and signals that more famous stars are slated to receive their own cosmetic if they play their cards right.
Haaland famously described himself as a "huge fan of the game for a long time." This was arguably one of the reasons why he got a skin in the game in the first place. Over the years, many celebrities have revealed that they have played Clash of Clans such as wrestler-turned-actor John Cena, DJ Steve Aoki, and actor Liam Neeson. We may very well see one of them in the game in the not-too-distant future.
Regardless of which celebrity enters Clash of Clans next, we can all agree that collabs like these are just what Clash of Clans needs at the moment. The game has been going strong for over a decade now and radical new features such as this are great at keeping things fresh and exciting for many more years to come.
