In Clash of Clans, new Town Halls are single-handedly one of the biggest game updates that every player, whether they're a newbie or a pro, looks forward to.

New Town Halls offer players various items such as troops, buildings, upgrade levels, spells, features, and more. For example, the latest Town Hall update, Level 16, introduced the Defense Merging feature, Hero Equipment, and the Ore resource on top of novel troops and upgrades.

With Town Hall 16 already making an impression on the game, many Clash of Clans players are now eagerly waiting for the release of Town Hall 17, and all that it will bring to the game. That said, we will show you when you can expect this major update to be launched.

Town Hall 17 is expected to be released in Clash of Clans in December 2024.

Supercell revealed in a recent Reddit Q&A that they have updated the Town Hall update cycle to have roughly 12 months in between new Town Hall levels. Previously, it was mentioned in a blog post that Supercell wants to maintain a period of at least 18 months. With this new timeline, Town Hall 17 could come as early as December 2024, or early 2025 by the latest.

This refreshed Town Hall schedule is a result of a larger development team at Supercell and their increased desire to lower upgrade times by releasing new updates.

In any case, we can hope for the new Town Hall to answer some burning questions about whether a new Hero will be introduced or if Supercell will rectify the current 100-building soft limit that hampers the Home Village map from expanding. We can also hope for new troops, buildings, upgrades, and more features.
