Hero Equipment is a new item that Heroes can equip in Clash of Clans to grant them various abilities in battle. With a wide selection of equipment available, you will be able to pick and choose which Heroes get what buff depending on your army composition and attacking strategy.
Hero Equipment can either have Active or Passive abilities. Active Hero Equipment needs to be activated for the Hero to gain the abilities. Meanwhile, Passive Hero Equipment is permanently active during battle.
Additionally, Hero Equipment can be divided into two rarities: Common and Epic. These rarities will dictate the number of levels available and the requirements to upgrade them.

All Hero Equipment In Clash Of Clans
There are currently 15 Hero Equipment available in Clash of Clans.
Default Hero abilities that we have grown used to over the years such as the Barbarian King's Iron Fist and the Archer Queen's Royal Clock will be broken down into various Hero Equipment that can be upgraded and replaced.
Each Hero can equip two Hero Equipment items at a time. You must drag the Hero Equipment from your inventory and onto your Hero at the Blacksmith to select them.
Hero Equipment is exclusive to specific Heroes. This results in certain items not being able to be equipped by Heroes other than the one it is intended for.
That said, here is a look at all the available Hero Equipment in Clash of Clans:

How To Unlock Hero Equipment In Clash Of Clans
As mentioned earlier, Hero Equipment is available in Common and Epic rarities. There are various ways to earn them and they vary depending on their rarity.
Here is how you can unlock Hero Equipment in Clash of Clans:
- Common Hero Equipment can be unlocked by upgrading your Blacksmith.
- Epic Hero Equipment can be unlocked during special events.
How To Upgrade Hero Equipment In Clash Of Clans
Hero Equipment can be upgraded by using Shiny Ore, Glowy Ore, and Starr Ore. Each of these Ores is required to achieve certain tasks when taking your Hero Equipment to the next level.
Here is a brief overview of how each Ore can be used to upgrade Hero Equipment:
- Shiny Ore (Blue): Can be used to upgrade all levels for Common and Epic Hero Equipment
- Glowy Ore (Purple): Can be used to upgrade key levels for Common and Epic Hero Equipment
- Starry Ore (Gold): Can be used to upgrade Epic Hero Equipment beyond certain levels.
If you do not have sufficient Ores, you can complete the Hero Equipment upgrade by using Gems.
