Spells – who doesn't love them? They're incredibly effective at dealing area effects anywhere in the Arena. Now, a new Spell is heading to Clash Royale in the coming update.

Supercell appears to be sticking to their word when they promised in their 2024 Roadmap that players can expect a variety of new additions such as Card Evolutions, Tower Troops, and – of course – Spells.

New Spell Will Be Added To Clash Royale Soon

Admittedly, there is very little that we actually know about the new Clash Royale Spell. The teaser only showed a brief second of the spell's effects. What we can confirm is that the new Spell will cost three Elixir.

When cast, the Spell will create a circle on the Arena and emanate a dark red glow. It is presumed that, given its appearance, this Spell will be a concentrated area of effect (AoE) Spell whose effects will have a greater effect the closer the troop is to the center of the Spell's circle.

It's speculated that this new Spell may be the Rare card that was hinted at in the Clash Royale 2024 Roadmap. For many in the community, this is a welcome sight – and for good reason. The last time a Rare card was added to Clash Royale was nearly four years ago. In recent times, new card additions have been Card Evolutions and Tower Troops, with the exception of the Little Prince Champion last year.

We can expect Supercell to release more information about this new Spell as we approach the start of the next season – Season 59. It will begin on May 6. In addition to a new Spell, the new season will also see the introduction of the Wizard Evolution andbalance changes.
