Ice Spirit is a trusty 1-cost Common card that spawns a rapid-moving ground troop capable of launching itself onto enemies to stun them for a period of time. Given their low cost and effective utility, they have become quite a common inclusion in most Clash Royale decks.
But now, they have been given an upgrade. Starting in Season 54 (December 2023), the Ice Spirit will have a special Card Evolution form that will improve upon their in-game performance. As usual, this evolved form will give this troop a unique ability.

Ice Spirit Evolution Abilities In Clash Royale
The Ice Spirit Evolution has the Ice Blast ability. When the evolved Ice Spirit attacks an enemy, any affected targets will receive two freeze blasts over time. In the game, these "freeze blasts" work as if the enemy targets had been frozen by two Ice Spirits. The second freeze will take place after the first freeze ends.
The blast's freeze and damage effect will also be felt by any nearby enemy troops within a short radius. Buildings and towers will also be affected by these freeze blasts.
With this ability, the Ice Spirit Evolution would serve as an extremely useful troop that is prized for its freezing utility. Stun high-HP troops like a Golem or a Champion and damage them with either an Inferno Tower or Bats.
You can also use the Ice Spirit Evolution for offensive purposes. Exploit its freezing abilities to stun towers and defensive troops while you deploy other Card Evolutons such as the Skeletons Evolution or high-damage troops to quickly take them down without resistance.
Given their low HP, the best way to counter the Ice Spirit Evolution is to use high-damage ranged troops such as the Firecracker or Wizard to destroy them before they can attack you.
Ice Spirit Evolution Stats
Unlike other Card Evolutions in Clash Royale, the Ice Spirit Evolution will have the same stats as its base card. This means the evolved card will carry the same HP, freeze duration, and range as the normal card.
The number of Cycles required to unlock the Ice Spirit Evolution in a game is 3.
To unlock the Ice Spirit Evolution, you will need to collect six of the Ice Spirit's Evolution Shards.
